Marie Curie

She born in Poland on 7 November 1867, this brilliant woman was the first to:

  • Win the Nobel Prize in Physics
  • Earn a master’s degree in physics  from Sorbonne University
  • Use the term “radioactivy”
  • Be a Laboratory Chief and professor at the Sorbonne University
  • Be a member of the French Academy of Medicine
  • Win Nobel Prize twice
  • Be the first Nobel winner mom with a Nobel winner daughter
  • Be entombed on her own merits in the Pantheon 

Marie died in 1934. During her last year, Marie worked on her book “Radioactivity, which was published on 1935.
